Board Meetings

The WCP Bylaws state:

Section 6.6 Regular Meetings: Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held monthly, or at such times and at such places as the Board of Directors may determine. Oral or written notice of such meetings shall be given not less than 24 hours prior to the time of meeting. But such notice may be waived by all the Board of Directors, and their appearance at a meeting shall constitute a waiver of notice.

Currently the WCP Board meeting the first Monday of the month at 6:30 PM at the preschool unless the monday falls on a holiday.

The board meetings are open for all to attend and the general members are welcome.  Typically meetings run until about 8:30 PM but they can run longer.

The following is a typical agenda for a WCP board meeting:

  1. Unfinished business from the last meeting
  2. Approve the minutes from the last meeting
  3. Review tasks from the last meeting
  4. General discussion items
  5. Team reports
    1. Fundraising
    2. Finance
    3. Support
    4. Compliance
    5. Membership
    6. House
    7. Health and Safety
    8. Class Leaders
    9. Secretary/Website
    10. SPSCC
  6. Teacher Reports
  7. Task Review/Follow-through
  8. Adjourn

The general points of business to discuss are usually directed by the WCP operating calendar which outlines the items that each board member is supposed to oversee having done in that month.
